300-people came to Percona Live MySQL Conference NYC! The after-party filled Mickey Mantles Sports Bar!

As the Chairman and Emcee of NY's first MySQL conference, seeing a full-house crowd of attendees is unbelievably rewarding! The 28-speaker 4-track conference ran like clockwork without any significant setbacks.

Expressing thanks to the monumental list of 30-sponsors required a tactful out-of-the-box approach; the "Sponsor-Jeopardy" game turned out to be a really fun way to interact with the audience and hand out lots of free books!

The venue had been a common point of praise from attendees; especially notable was the ultra-plush reclining seats, the 25-foot screen and the classy Academy Awards setting.

The after-party at the iconic Mickey Mantles Sports Bar was a big hit too! With an open-bar containing top-shelf liquors, an array of free gourmet hors d'oeuvres and over $15,000 in prize giveaways, we managed to fill Mickey Mantles to fire-code capacity!
